Undergraduate Degree Programs: Health Education & Behavior BSHE + Residential BS degree program + Online BS degree program Specializations: + Community Health Promotion (HEB-CHP) For students with a primary interest in community and public health education or worksite health promotion. Focus on illness and disease prevention among special target groups within a community. Appropriate for students planning to pursue graduate programs in health education or related fields (public health, health administration, and epidemiology and disease prevention). Ideal for pre-health students pursuing Nursing or Occupational Therapy. *NOTE: Specialization is available for residential and online students. + Health Studies (HEB-PHS) For students who intend to complete post-baccalaureate work in a professional health program. Gain knowledge of health issues plaguing diverse population groups while completing required prerequisite coursework for your desired health program. Ideal for pre-health students pursuing Medicine, PA, PT, Dental, Pharmacy, Optometry, or Occupational Therapy. *NOTE: Specialization available for residential students only. + UF Online (HEB-DHS) For students who pursue the HEB BS degree program in an online format. Students follow guidelines for the Community Health Promotion specialization, and are prepared to move into the HEB Online or Residential MS degree programs or pursue numerous career options upon graduating. + Combined degree program (BS/MS) For any UF undergraduate student who is interested in pursuing a graduate HEB MS degree. Allows students to complete up to 4 graduate level HSC specialization courses that fulfill both undergraduate and graduate degree requirements. Expedites the HEB MS program to one year instead of two.
